In this course basic animation units are taught. The students will use these skills to design and make a Claymation, hand drawn, and computer drawn animation.

Technical Studies – Animation 11

This is an introductory course in computer use, hand-drawn animation and 3D computer animation that can lead to careers in animation, computer gaming, television, etc.  Learn how to navigate Windows, use a scanner, manipulate images and use digital photography. Learn animation skills like Storyboarding, character design and production planning. Record your animations on CD and videotape.   Hand-drawn animation projects include a dance, walk and double take using painted cells. 3D animation includes creating objects, lighting, movement and special effects. At the end of this course, students will be computer literate.

Technical Studies – Animation 12

This is a continuation of the skills learned in Animation 11. Further your study of Claymation, hand-drawn animation and 3D computer animation that can lead to careers in animation, computer gaming, television, etc.
